Accelerate Your IrisX Journey with Pre-Built Building Blocks
Blueprints are curated, ready-to-use technical assets — including datasets, analytics notebooks, and code examples — that give IrisX customers a structured starting point for building and deploying their own solutions. They reduce deployment risk, shorten time-to-value, and lower the barrier to getting the most out of IrisX.
What is a Blueprint?
A Blueprint bundles together the key ingredients you need to solve a specific business or data challenge on IrisX:
- Datasets — pre-structured data from the IrisX Data Lake, scoped to the use case
- Analytics notebooks — ready-to-run Databricks notebooks with logic, transformations, and visualizations
- Code examples — reference implementations to extend, adapt, or integrate into your own workflows
- Documentation — each Blueprint ships with a detailed README covering purpose, prerequisites, configuration steps, and expected outputs
Blueprints are opinionated starting points, not rigid templates. They encode Trackunit's best practices for common IrisX use cases, so your team spends less time on setup and more time creating value.
Blueprint Characteristics
Each Blueprint is:
- Scoped to a specific use case — with a clearly defined business challenge, target outcome, and recommended data inputs
- Packaged and self-contained — all required notebooks, queries, and schemas ship together, with no external dependencies to resolve
- Documented via README — step-by-step guidance is embedded directly in each Blueprint, covering environment setup, data requirements, and customization options
- Extensible by design — not fixed solutions. Designed to be adapted, extended, or integrated into broader customer architectures
Example Blueprints
Blueprints span a range of use cases across fleet intelligence, commercial operations, and electrification. Two examples:
Battery Management Insights Gives OEMs and rental companies visibility into battery health, state of charge, and usage patterns across their electric fleet. This enables proactive maintenance, warranty optimization, and data-driven electrification decisions.
Out of Contract Usage Identifies assets being used outside the terms of a rental agreement (e.g. beyond contracted hours or outside permitted time windows). It helps rental companies quantify revenue leakage and build the case for additional billing or contract renegotiation.
Additional Blueprints covering R&D data-driven product design, smart servicing triage, fleet right-sizing, site optimization, and asset utilization are available in the IrisX Blueprints Catalogue.
Getting Access
Blueprints are available through the IrisX Marketplace.
- Browse available Blueprints and request access at marketplace.trackunit.com
- Access is granted per organization; your IrisX environment must be provisioned before deploying a Blueprint
- Once access is granted, each Blueprint's README guides you through setup and first use
