Invite users to test

With your app installed in your Staging sub-account, invite a few users so they can use the app and give you feedback before you go to the Marketplace.

Prerequisites

• A Staging sub-account exists under your hierarchy.
• Your app is installed in that sub-account. Installation is controlled by your app's installation.accountIds and installation.pricingPlanPolicy — target your Staging sub-account there (see Controlling marketplace behavior).
• Your user has the Admin role (or another role that can manage users) in the Staging sub-account.
• You have the email addresses of the people you want to invite as testers.
• You are logged in to the Staging sub-account.

Invite testers

Invite users while you are working in the Staging sub-account so they are added there and not to your production account.

1. In Trackunit Manager, go to Administration → Users (Manage Users).
2. Click Invite user to open the invite wizard.
3. User details — enter the tester's Name and Email etc.
4. Assign role — choose the role that matches the access the tester needs (Admin, Fleet admin, Technician, or User).
5. Fleet visibility — grant asset visibility by choosing Full fleet, Specific groups, or No visibility, depending on what the tester needs to exercise your app.
6. Additional options — configure any extra options if relevant.
7. Review & Confirm — double-check everything, then click Invite user. You will see "User successfully invited" and the tester receives an activation email.
8. Ask each tester to accept the invitation and confirm they can see and open your app in the Staging sub-account.
