App logo guidelines
Every app on the Marketplace needs a logo. It is the first thing users see when browsing, so a clean, correctly sized logo makes your app look trustworthy and professional.

Your logo must be square. Non-square logos will be stretched or cropped when rendered in the Marketplace and in Trackunit Manager.
Why SVG?
We recommend SVG because it scales without quality loss. Your logo is shown at different sizes across the Marketplace, app lists, and app headers — a vector file stays sharp everywhere.
If you use PNG, export at 80 × 80 px or larger. A larger export (for example 160 × 160 px) scales down cleanly and stays crisp on high-density displays.
Safe area (recommended)
Your logo is rendered inside a square container, sometimes with rounded corners. To avoid your artwork touching or getting clipped at the edges, keep the main graphic inside a safe area of roughly 80% of the canvas — that is about 8 px of padding on each side of an 80 × 80 canvas.
This is a recommendation, not a hard requirement, but logos that fill the entire canvas edge-to-edge often look cramped next to other apps.
Design tips
- Use a solid background color. A filled background makes your logo work on both light and dark surfaces. Avoid fully transparent backgrounds unless your artwork works on any color.
- Keep it simple. One clear symbol reads better at small sizes than detailed illustrations or text. Avoid putting your app name in the logo — it is shown next to the logo anyway.
- Don't add your own corner rounding or drop shadows. The Marketplace applies its own container styling.
- Check contrast. Make sure the symbol is clearly visible against your background color.

Your logo is reviewed together with your app submission. If it doesn't meet the size and shape requirements above, we may ask you to update it before the app is approved for the Marketplace.
