trackunit/iris-app v2.8.5 - extend generator now scaffolds Vitest, not Jest
Running npx nx g @trackunit/iris-app:extend now scaffolds your extension's unit tests with Vitest instead of Jest, matching the @trackunit/react-vite-test-setup preset already used elsewhere in the SDK's testing guides.
Breaking change: the generator's extendJestPreset option has been removed. If a script or CI step invokes the generator with --extendJestPreset, drop that flag — the generator no longer recognizes it.
For each newly generated extension, the generator now:
- sets
unitTestRunner: "vitest"on the generated project instead of"jest" - writes a type-appropriate
vitest.config.tsbuilt on the@trackunit/react-vite-test-setuppreset, instead of wiring the extension into the rootjest.preset.js - generates
*.spec.tsx/*.spec.tssamples built ontrackunitProviders(), as shown in Creating a new extension
Extensions generated before this version, and any Jest configuration they already have, are left untouched — the generator only changes what it writes for new extensions going forward. See Testing IrisX App for mocking GraphQL calls and runtime hooks under the new setup.
